Why do they call them "leads and leads" and not "electrodes" and "traces" ?

I think you need to differentiate between electrodes and leads... The electrodes are 10 but the leads are 12

I will say that “coming from and EMS/ambulance side of things” most people do 12 leads while trunking the patients . Yes it’s not as “precise “ but you get les artifact
