  • In youthful memories, Neath the scorching sun they stood, What they were doing, I never understood. A world beyond my grasp, a mystery untold, As time flowed on, my own story did unfold.
I stood where they had stood, the sun upon my face, Unknowing why I'm here, in this familiar place. The morning's light, a promise ever true, Becomes the sweat that glistens, a daily, weary dew.
Responsibility's weight, unseen in childhood's gaze, Now burdens every step, through life's unending maze. I wonder if my form, in others' eyes I see, Reflects the ones I watched, so long ago, carefree.
The sun, unchanging, shines, time's cycles never cease, I understand at last, our shared, enduring peace. They bore the weight then, as I must bear it now, Life's duty, we fulfill, with furrowed brow.
Childhood's questions find their answers in time's flow, Beneath the sun we walk, the path we all must know.
